We define a location as an individual country or territory represented by a unique ISO code. When a provider reports multiple servers within the same country (e.g., four states in the U.S.), we aggregate them under their representative ISO code.
We aim to update server lists at least once per day where possible, a colored circle is used to show time since last update at a glance;
đĸ - Updated within the last 24hrs
đ - Updated within last 72hrs
đ´ - Stale data over 72hrs old
In addition, hovering these indicators should give you a more specific data age report.
We urge you to double check the data at the linked provider page to avoid inaccuracies due to formatting errors ensuring coverage information is as up to date as possible.
Unless stated otherwise by a provider, there are no guarantees that server locations available at time of subscription will stay available, providers can from time to time change out the locations they serve, which is something to keep in mind if you're after a more niche location.
We try to keep our coverage up to date with popular providers in addition to providers that feature on the "Save đ§§" page linked sites,
not all providers will be added to our coverage for varying reasons, examples include;
⸠Consistent negative recent reviews.
⸠VPN not being primary service (e.g. IPTV with VPN as a secondary selling point).
⸠Free VPNs.
⸠Peer to Peer VPNs.
We don't include them two main reasons;
⸠You can download them at no cost to check out their coverage.
⸠Unclear monetisation strategies. (With news coming out that
multiple free VPNs have been harvesting users' AI chats among other things the use of a 'free' VPN feels antithetical to the reason for getting one)
While we don't recommend outright free VPNs, some premium providers have limited free tiers whose monetisation is clearer (as a funnel
to and subsidized by the premium offering), two examples being;
đ Proton VPN
đ Windscribe
Limitations include server locations, concurrent connections, bandwidth limits.
